Sigrid Therapeutics appoints Mattias Ankerberg, an international leader from the consumer goods industry, as Chairman

Stockholm, October 24, 2022. Sigrid Therapeutics, a Swedish consumer healthcare technology company, today announced that it has appointed Mattias Ankerberg as Chairman of the Board. Mattias has a long and successful career in the international retail and consumer goods industry. He is currently CEO of the listed Byggmax Group and a board member of Thule Group, and has previously worked for many years at H&M, most recently as Global Head of Sales & Marketing, and at McKinsey & Company, both in Sweden and the US. Sigrid sees Ankerberg's extensive experience from the consumer industry as ideal to help commercialize the SiPore® platform in the dietary supplement, oral health and veterinary markets.

Sigrid Therapeutics is a privately held consumer-focused health technology company driven by the vision that no one should suffer from chronic lifestyle diseases such as type 2 diabetes and obesity. Sigrid has developed and patented a unique silicon-based platform technology, SiPore®, that limits the breakdown of food in the gut, thereby lowering blood sugar and blood lipids.
